    I believe its because of the new copy protection. What I hear is your solution is to use anydvd or reauthor using shrink and skip the bad files.

    Madagascar has macrovision's ripguard on it. Shrink can't handle it by itself. I used anydvd and clone. No problems. You'll need the latest anydvd or dvd fab decrypter - both were updated for this movie.

    the cyclicx redundancy error is one that means the dic is scratched or dirty, also will refer to cheap media.

    Have you tried to recover the data via isobuster and then butn back with dvd decrypter

    andmerr is right...... redundency is an error for crappy media or reading error meaning bad disk! http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
    make yourself familar with what is good media and what is crappy media..... cost is the same so why not get the better media! stop the redundancy now!!!!!!

    Hey guys!
    Shrink will also give a crc error when it can't handle the protection - since this disc has a copy protection that shrink can't handle it's probably the reason Tommie31 rec'd that error but otherwise yep it's probably a 'bad' disc.

    Tommie31 theres many threads on this movie ,the best way to back it up is using clonedvd 2 with anydvd ,download and use the 21 day free trial and heres a guide to use the program

    @Tommie31 -

    sorry, when i replied to your PM i didn't know you had a Madagascar thread that i hadn't replied to (i replied to about 17 of them when i manager to do this movie!)..anyway, copy/paste follows...

    (ps have renamed your thread to have Madagascar in the title)..

    i did Madagascar effortlessly recently with DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.6.0 (free) then Shrunk with DVD Shrink as normal. what i did do was use my dvd-rom/cd-write combo drive (like io do for most of my ripping); didn't try to rip it on any of my dvd burners as i'd done the movie already but it's always nice to have a couple of optical drives..as if a movie won't play ball on one drive you always have a choice of drives to use..
