Hi, this is an often discussed item, but I can't find a real solution. What I want is that a CD is being copied exactly as the original, concerning pauses between the songs. This means e.g. if there's a one second pause between the first and the second song, a 2 seconds pause between the second and the third song and no pause between the third and the fourth song, I want the same pause's on my copy. As far as I know all other discussions learn how to avoid pauzes, but I want existing pauzes being maintained with the same length as the original CD.
I found a solution myself. I found an option "raw mode" (in Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6) and wondered if this wouldn't do what I expected. Despite of what the manual says, I gave it a try with positive result. The manual says: The Raw Mode feature allows you to make backup copies of single-session data discs that cannot be copied by normal copy settings. In order to use this feature, the source and destination drives must support it. Note Raw Mode copies a disc much slower than the average copy, and is not always guaranteed to successfully copy. We recommend you use this feature only when necessary.
My preferred way to do so is by using AnyDVD and CloneCD to make a mirror copy. As far as a free way, I am not too sure what would be the way to go but with the above method you can produce exact cd copies.
Hi, for what you wish, perhaps purchasing another copy would give the most satisfying results. Just a thought Jo
