Try connecting the component cables to standard component in. Not Hi def. It will play dvds 480p, but the manual states: this product is compatable for use with component video inputs (y Cb/Pb/Pr0, but cannot be used with inputs in HDTV format (y Pb Pr).

What? Make sure that your audio red isn't in component red. Also make sure that the green (Y) is in the green and blue (Pb or Cb) is in the blue.

    ???

    Y-Pb-Pr = Y-Cb-Cr

    Ced?

Out of curiosity, I did a google on "component video converters." You might find it useful. CD.

You don't need a tuner or anything else to watch a movie or play a video games on your tv. If your tv can except an SD, ED, or HD tv signal then it will. If it can't then it won't.

    Convert component video into what?
