My issue is that I need to capture a signal from a tv at an ICN site with rca jacks and be able to record 6 hours of class on my computer, then burn to a CD not DVD. I don't know what hardware or software to use. i am looking at the Plextor PX-M402U that seems to do everything. But I was told the software that is bundled with it, WinDVD Creator 2 is junk. Suggestions please. Also, I need to make 6 copies of each class recorded for other students. How much can be put on a CD and how long does it take?

Dunno much about the software/hardware you might use but you can "stuff" a cd with quite a few hours of video the only impediment is that the quality must decrease as the length(as in time) of the video increases(or compress the video file using a good codec in order to compress it)
