Here's the problem, when I play a DVD movie on my PC all I get is sound but intermitantly no picture, well I actually get about 2 or 3 mm of picture around the playback window with the centre blocked out with a dark brown/black box in the middle. I've tried Cyberlink Power DVD,Win DVD, Windows media player and numerous others but always get the same problem. When the DVD actually plays correctly, the picture is pixelated (like a bad Mpeg file) and not the pristine picture I had on my old CRT display. Fullscreen playback......forget it! I have recently updated my PC with a Samsung LCD (19" 940b 8ms), Nvidia Ge Force 6600GT graphics card, P4 3.2ghz processor, 512mb ram. I have downloaded all the latest drivers for my hardware and the latest DirectX but all to no avail. Can anyone pleas help me I'm getting desperate! Also I forgot to mention, all of my games run beautifully on my new equipment including a few newly released games. Thank you

Do you have all the necesary codecs? If not, try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega versin) from this site.

    Good luck!

Thank you very much for your help, I installed the K-lite mega pack and now I can get picture including fullscreen but am still having problems with the pixelization although not as bad,any ideas? I don't really understand about codecs but I guess I need them. Thanks again.

When you installed K-Lite, did you uninstall other codecs as instructed? If yes, then try run 'fixcodecs' that came with K-Lite, and check all choices to see if things would be better.

    Good luck!
