ok i want to put some files on a cd.i use nero express and choose bootable data cd .i cant seem to get it to work.it will work if i open my computer and chose e drive and it will open.how could i make this cd boot on a fresh hard drive? is there a way to burn the files and some type of image so it will boot if i just pop it in.please could some one tell me how before i lose my mind . am i doing something wrong?????
What's driving you mad, is the fact you're missing the boot files the computer needs to boot from a CD. http://www.bootdisk.com Give them a try. As far as your Nero settings go, once you have the image you want to burn, and you choose BootCD, make sure in the first set of settings you point Nero to the image file on your hard drive. what exactly are you trying to burn do you want your computer to boot from the cd a start up or autorun when inserted in windows
PMs checked and responded. I've never used Start Smart, I start Nero from it's shortcut in the All Programs menu.
