Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to make a copy of an original Xbox 360 game on to a blank DVD dl disc.

When and if I flush my xbox 360 to play backup games is it possible to copy the original games I have at the moment so I can still have a copy of the original games. I currently have (original) call of duty 4 and pro evo 6.

    Please can someone assistant. Thanks

Of course it is, but you will need a few things to do it:

    1. A Samsung DVD-Rom drive for your PC flashed with Kreon firmware.
sh-d162d (IDE) and the sh-d163b (SATA)
** Notice this is a DVD-Rom and not a DVD burner, so it only reads the discs, you still need a dual layer burner as well.

    2. A program you like, either Schtrom or Xbox Backup Creator

    3. Good quality media like Verbatim 6X max speed DVD+R DL

There is another method called WXripper where you do not need the Samsung drive. But it is a complete headache so if you want to go hat route your on your own.

    thanks,

My PC have both the DVD rom drive and DVD r/rw drive with RW DL. I also have the DVD DL blank discs. Can u use CloneCD to make a copy of the original xbox 360 games? What do i have to do?

so you already have the flashd Samsung drive? It has to be a specific model with Kreon firmware. Not just any old DVD-Rom will work.
    If you do then:

    1. Stick original disc in your Samsung PC drive and let it spin for a second and be recognized
    2. open Xbox Backup Creator 2.6
    3. go to tools tab and click unlock drive
    4. go to read tab and start it (make sure you check the spot beside the full back up and not current partition)

once image is made you can burn it.

    1. open newest version of IMGburn
    2. go to mode and select “write”
    3. now browse for and select the .DVD file you just made
    4. Select your burning speed, and booktype the media to DVD-Rom if your burner can booktype
    5. hit start and burn it.

correct, only the flashed Samsung drives with Kreon firmware can read the games. And any decent DL burner should work for burning them.

Spend the $60 on ebay for one of the above drives (IDE or SATA depending on what you have now). Trust me it is worth every penny you pay for it.

ok, people. You just need to read.
"only the flashed Samsung drives with Kreon firmware can read the games"

So here are questions for you:
    1. is that drive you have one of the models i listed above?
    2. Do you really think the official Samsung webpage would have Kreon firmware so the drive could be made to read 360 games seeing that backing them up in most countries is illegal?

Look, go to Ebay, Buy the sh-d162d (since that is the IDE version like your current one). Replace your current DVD-Rom with the Kreon flashed on. And then you can do what you need.

Ah, glad i can make the world laugh. Today was just not the day for people to be lazy and not read the information that i have already given them. it's all there in black and white, not to mention the big bold threads at the top which cover all of this without me having to write it out 2-3 more times.

Usually i am quite nice about it, not today.

I have never done it since i also own an Xbox , so i really have no need to back them up for my 360. But if i remember correctly regular Xbox 1 games still need to be backed up onto dual layer media using the same method used to back up 360 games. Which means you must be using the original to make the back up.
Persoanlly i think it is cheaper to just buy an Xbox and mod it then to spend all that money on backing up Xbox 1 games. Plus you can do SOOOOOOOOO much with the old Xbox that the 360 can not yet do.

Although i will say that there are sources out there that already have Xbox 1 games that are ready to just be burned to a disc for the 360. But your on your own finding them.

Na, I had a xbox1 a while ago, but I still have some games like Halo because I know they will play on the 360. Already have two xbox1 games that are scratched from the 360 and freeze up during game play. So it would be nice to back up the few xbox1 games I have left.

    But thanks for the info.
