Got a question regarding being able to make a DVD menu.
    Heres the process i use:
Use Xilisoft AVI-DVD to make the iso images; yes xilisoft does have a menu option but is not very creative and to be honest it sucks.

So how would I go about making a menu to be able to pick which movie I want to watch and then convert them to the iso file to burn to a dvd?

    Thanks in advance everyone.

(This is the second thread in which I'm suggesting the same app. - I should just copy-n-paste :D )

A good app. for adding menus, after you've created the VOB SET, is TMPGenc DVD Author with DivX Authoring. It has a lot of good options and you can create your own backgrounds and buttons with a graphic editing app., like Photoshop.

The best part is that it can remake your DVD image without re-encoding the video, in the process. Most DVD Authors that will let you create a decent menu also require that you let their app. do the encoding. Like you, I prefer to use a program that I'm familiar with to create the VOB SETs (ConvertXtoDVD).

Simply choose "None" as your output file-size and it will build a new DVD image, with a nice menu, without re-encoding your video.

Never used Xilsoft stuff. Never had to. But if your movies are AVI just drag them into FAVC. 'Automatically' makes menu(s) for up to 8 titles per DVD.

    Hi,

I've read a few threads, and I still need to ask this.

I am making three movies with Windows Movie Maker. The movies are done. They are saved in the format from that application, which is Windows Media video file.

I want to put these three movies on a dvd. I want to make a menu that starts up when the dvd is loaded. I want to have three pictures/titles on the menu, and have each picture link to one of the movies.

    How do I do this?

    thank you,

    Karen
