Ive been given 4 video files to make a DVD. All are PAL and 720X576 but 3 of them are obviously widescreen res because they are squashed in a bit. 1 I have is 4:3 Here lies the problem. When I made a DVD the 4:3 element looks stretched when I set my TV to full mode while thats what setting I have to use to make sure the other 3 are widescreen and are stretched out proplerly. What can I do here? Do I have to re-encode some source files or put black bars down the side of the 4:3 vid? Im using Premiere Pro and Sony DVD Architect.
Well; I ain't no expert to answering this question; but I know if you re-encode the dvd video files with DVD Rebuilder; it has a option in the menu where it converts a movie file from 4:3 to 16:9.... Hope that helps; although I can't guarantee it's the answer ur looking for The problem there is; I don't know if the program would recognize that 3 files are already in 16:9 and it would have the sense to skip them; and then it finds the 4:3 and converts it to the same ratio.... DVD_Lab_Pro will allow you to author a DVD with different aspect ratios...just place the 16:9 in one Video_TS and the other in another.
