Making a fat32 partition

    just got a new hard drive and made it external and i wanted to make 100 gb of it fat32 so i could use it as a usb storage for ps3 also ive made a ntfs partition but i heard i may need to erase it first >.< also ive tryed swissknife it tells me no media detected when i select the drive

    If it's already all NTFS you will need to use a program like Acronis DiskDirector to remanage the size of the partitions.

    Actully it was all unalocated anything free i could use other then acronis or swissknife or any reason why swissknife doesnt see my hard drive (windows does)

    If it's unallocated, Windows disk management can do it.

    Start->Run
    diskmgmt.msc

    OK

    yes but now i need to make a 100 gb fat32 partition it only allows ntfs

    FAT32 should be in a dropdown box somewhere...

    eric, do you have or know anybody that has a win98 or winme computer to make a floppy bootdisk?
