I have a file that shows 1.28 gig and I unrared it and use Nero 6 like always to put on a 4.7 disk, but it shows that the file is now 5.81 gig and won't fit. Does this need to be converted? What is the best program to use and is there a users guide. Thanks for your time and help

You can use Nero, DVD Shrink or my favorite DVD Rebuilder.

I think its an AVI file but to use the programs you mentioned doesn't need to be an image file format? Thanks for your time and help

Please be a bit more clearer on your situation. Are you now saying that you have a 5.81gb avi? This whole thing is not making any sense. Let Nero make whatever you have fit onto a DVD. No it doesn't need to be an image file.
