Trying to put a DVD onto my phone, so I'd like to make it an AVI (using virtualdubmod). I'm trying to use an alternate audio track (spanish) and showing subtitles. I can't figure out how to do this directly from the DVD - if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll end up playing the disk in spanish with subtitles and using my DVD recorder and then making the AVIs from that. thanks
If you rip the DVD to the HDD using freeware like DVDFab HD Decrypter, you can use AutoGK to select the required audio(s) and hardcoded subs for the AVI. In AGK load the required Title (usually, but not always VTS_01_0.IFO). In my example, it's VTS_05_0.IFO which happens to be an episode on a Simpsons disk. I selected English and Spanish audio and Spanish subs. (AGK includes and uses VirtualDubMod for the conversion) http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDFab_Decrypter http://www.videohelp.com/tools/AutoGK ==============Edited typo===========
Wow - thanks. That's all new to me, but very easy to follow. I've never used Gordian knot, but I supposed I need to.
