making dvd

Dear friends

I have need some information, I am not very good with computer equipments, but accidentally having good machine. LOL

I had download a movie which is upto 3 hour. I would like to have it in DVD. I notice DVDs are 120 minute. Could you please let me know how could I have more than two hours movies in 120 minutes?

Author it as a DVD9 then use DVD-Shrink to shrink it to DVD5.

thanks, but could you explain more please, and if the movie in avi files (2files) i have to join them first then to dvd9. i am lost please help.
