Making it work for a noob

    i have a couple files in AVI (XVID Codec I beleive) and i want them to play on a dvd player with menus preferably. can i get a list of software i need and wat i need to convert it to.

    Just run on over to the handy dandy "Guides" section on this site.

    Browse around a little bit, and I am sure you find what you need.

    Your best bet is to download MainConcept MPEG encoder and DVD Santa 4. Run your avi/xvid through MainConcept first re-encoding to MPEGII. Then take that new file and run it through DVD Santa and burn. Voila! A perfectly created DVD for your player.
