This is my last hope, so I'm hoping someone can help me.

I was given a Motorola V220 and was told that I could upload/download stuff if I purchased a USB cable and the software disc. I went to my local phone stall on the market (big mistake maybe) and said what I wanted and was handed a box containing a USB cable and a DATA cd. Now on the box half of the writing is in chinese and it only states models (C330/C350 C550/C650 E380/E680.A780.V3) and has a big white sticker saying V3 on it. Is this wrong, or right, for the type of phone I have?

Leading on from that, whether I plugged my phone in too soon or if something is wrong whenever I plug my phone into my computer I get this error..

I've tried retracking back the drivers, installing different versions of MPT's, selecting PK2 drivers and nothing seems to work. When installing MPT's it just stops half way through and asks me to detect a phone.

So my 2 questions are.. was I sold a disc that doesn't work? And are the error messages down to my own fault or should I give up the ghost and admit defeat?

    Thankyou.

there are many post concerning this issue . It sounds to me like you have the correct cable. I believe you have not picked the correct driver for mpt. Go into the folder in program files (mpt)select inf then p2k_xp see if that works . The best advice is read, read, read.
    You will get it.
