About a few days ago I experienced the weirdest thing. My computer self installed 2 programs while i was on the internet reading the story of golden sun (LITERALLY!). Both were obviously Malware type programs and they froze my computer. These programs were called Anti Malware Doctor and Microsoft essential security or something like that. From then on I couldn't open any of my programs, so I couldnt even do a quick virus scan. I did an AVG scan since it was already running in the background and it sorta helped me out. I then was able to open mozilla firefox and from then on I reinstalled my Ad aware then that helped loads and the programs are gone.
BUT some weird things are still happening to my computer and this is odd as my computer has been practically virus free for like 3 years.
    symptoms are:

Notifications of .DLL errors on start up.
Notifications of "not enough written memory" on start up.
    Sluggish performance.
Sometimes programmes will not run (e.g. Firefox)
    Zone alarm crashes
and when i am using an internet browser, random websites open every half hour, sometimes these may be pornographic in nature.

I need help and ive tried many things so i thought i'd resort to Hijackthis, I dont understand the log so i would appreciate it if someone could tell me which files are bad.

There are 3 lines I had you remove that are still showing up:

    O4 - S-1-5-18 Startup: esfyum.exe (User 'SYSTEM')

O4 - .DEFAULT Startup: esfyum.exe (User 'Default user')

O4 - .DEFAULT User Startup: esfyum.exe (User 'Default user')

Did you check these? Do you recognize "esfyum.exe"?
I can find no information on this file... Let me know if they just came back after you deleted them because that may be a sign of a Rootkit and we'll have to dig it out...

Yes i had removed those 3 as instructed.
Unfortunately i don't recognise them at all.
Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it has symptoms of a Rootkit so let's see if we can dig it out...

    Follow these instructions exactly:

Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. Go to Here for your reference.

    1. Download Combo fix from one of these locations.
    * IMPORTANT !!! Place combofix.exe on your Desktop

    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe

    2. Click start > run and Copy and Paste this in exactly, using the picture below for reference, then click OK.

    3. Combo will begin to run DO NOTHING while this is happening.
    • It will kill a few processes and disconnect you from the internet.
    • If by chance it stops prematurely you can re-establish your internet connection by restarting your computer.
    • This needs to be done so the program can work most efficiently for you.
Do not attempt to use the internet or anything else while it's doing its job for you.

**Understand that things like your system clock changing and your desktop disappearing might happen. Do not worry, because all will be restored later.

If when it's completed you can not get on the internet just reboot the computer

Post the log from comboFix for me located in c:\comboFix.txt
Also post a fresh HJT Log ran after ComboFix.
