    Hi kev28

I'm guessing you have Antivir. Whatever antivirus you have, follow the instructions below to scan with your antivirus in safe mode.

Please reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:
    • Restart your computer
    • After pressing the power button, repeatedly tap the F8 key.
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
    • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
    • Choose the administrator's account.

Open your antivirus, and scan. See how it goes.

After that, please download the HijackThis zip file. Save it onto a convenient place in your computer, and then unzip the file.

    Rename HijackThis(.exe) to scanner(.exe).

Next, run scanner(.exe). A window will pop up.

    • Click on the button which says Main Menu, then Do a system scan and save a logfile.
    • Please wait for the scan to be completed.
    • After the scan has completed, a text window will pop up. Please post the contents of this window here.

This will also be located at hijackthis(.txt) in the same folder that HijackThis was originally saved.

NOTE:: Do not fix anything using HijackThis, as this may also damage legitimate components of your computer.

    Best Regards :D

    Hey kev

Please reboot your computer into Safe Mode With Networking by doing the following:
    • Restart your computer
    • After pressing the power button, repeatedly tap the F8 key.
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
    • Select the option to run Windows in Safe Mode With Networking, then press Enter.
    • Choose the administrator's account.

Scan with Antivir, and see if it can remove the malware.

    Do not reboot yet!

    Please run HijackThis.

    • Click on the button which says Main Menu, then Do a system scan only.
    • Please wait for the scan to be completed.
    • After the scan has completed, check the following entries.

    Code:
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\twext.exe,
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
Click on the button Fix checked

NOTE:: Close all browsers before fixing anything.

    Do not reboot yet!

    Now, please download ComboFix.
With ComboFix, at the download window, please rename it to Combo-Fix(.exe) before downloading it.

Please disable all security programs, such as antiviruses, antispywares, and firewalls.
    Also disable your internet connection.

    • Run Combo-Fix.exe and follow the prompts.
**Understand that things like your system clock changing and your desktop disappearing might happen. Do not worry, because all will be restored later.
    • Wait for the scan to be completed.
    • If it requires a reboot, please do it.
    • After the scan has completed entirely, please post the log here. The log will be located at C:\ComboFix(.txt)

Do not click on the ComoboFix window, as it may cause it to stall.

Now, reboot back into normal mode, and see how it goes.

    Best Regards :D

    Hey kev

Yes, download these programs from another computer. However, please note that you have to run HijackThis before running ComboFix, even if you've run it before. This is a crucial step.

Have you scanned with Antivir in safe mode yet?

    Best Regards :D

hi cdavfrew, did what you told me,but when i started up combofix.exe it started to run, it never prompted me to go ahead and carry on with the program, i left it about 20mins and nothing happened so i restarted the pc and i had the blue screen of death, i had to then format the harddrive and reboot the pc,losing everything i had. Thanks for the advice, if i would of known i would have come to you sooner, but i think it was that messed up that the best thing was a reboot anyway, thanks anyway much appreciate your advice, no doubt i will be back for your advice again soon lol

Sorry to hear that, kev. Formatting is a difficult step, but with malware, it might just have to be the last resort. Sounds like the malware messed up your pc so badly that when Combofix tried to remove it, boom!

Hope it all works out :)
