Ok, this is strange, but for some reason I can't figure out, when I run my version of MAME32 on my PC, trying to play an ol' favorite or two, my computer will reboot instead of loading the ROM. I also have MAME32+, same problem. Both of these programs worked flawlessly for the past year. I am not sure if it has something to do with antivirus/firewall conflicts?? I am currently running NOD32 and Outpost 3.5 I do not see MAME32 or MAME32+ listed in "blocked programs" WTF? any ideas appreciated.
Sorry, should have mentioned that I have tried complete uninstall/re-install of both programs from their originals I store on DVD to see if any important pieces of the programs had been deleted or damaged accidentally, but still NO DICE
Since it is rebooting your machine, see if it is creating an event in the Event Log. Go to Start/Run and type eventvwr.msc and see if there is anything in the log that might give you a clue on what is happening.
Have you updated your vid card drivers recently? Maybe an incompatible driver with MAME. Just a thought. I agree with ^^^^ start with event viewer and go from there. ~Rich
