I need to manually insert keyframes into my divx 5-encoded video in order to be able to split it exactly at a certain point. Is this possible using virtual dub/nandub or any other program?
Copy/paste from good ol' doom9: To insert more keyframes load the AVI in VirtualDub, check pop up extended options, then in the next window select rederive keyframe flags. Then set audio and video to direct stream copy and save the AVI again.
Thanks for the help. Can't find that option though, "pop up extended options". I am using v. 1.4.10 of Virtual Dub, which appears to be the latest one.
It's located in the file opening dialog. So, when you select Open AVI and you see the box to select the video file, there's a small checkbox that says "Popup extended options".
