ok, i downloaded this halo 2 map pack torrent, it came complete with all the maps that are on the game, plus the ones from the multiplayer map pack, plus some other ones, i dropped all the .map files into the map folder inside the halo 2 game folder (\F\games\halo2\maps\). All the files look the same, but when i rebooted the xbox and went into halo2 nothing had been changed.
I also downloaded the map pack through a p2p program and the way I installed it was to take out a non english movie out of the pack(so it would fit on a dvd-r) and create an xiso in which I burned to disc.You need to install the map pack(not just ftp the map files to the map directory).You could also ftp the contents of the map pack into a folder on your xbox hdd where you normally put your games and run it from there.
