MASS EFECT II (help)

    so i have been playing mass effect like non stop.
    i have come to the mission : disable the collectors ship.
    i am at the part where i have to defeat a floating looking alien named Praetonian.........cant find a picture but its a alein looking bug that flys and has a very good barrier.
    anyone know to defeat this fukin thing!!!

    just shoot and keep ur distance. use w/e is effective against barriers and armor
