With a softmodded xbox and XBMC, is it possible to have a master slave HDD setup, with the stock HDD as the master, and the other as the slave? Otherwis, can you do HDD swaps without a modchip?

ohh, do you mean where you are able to quick swap between two modded HDD by having the IDE cable and the power supply cable on the outside of the xbox?

You can run a custom HDD without a odchip, but it will be more time consuming. I did it with mine, and enjoy lots of storage for all my applications, and linux. So, it can be done, the only catch of course is that a softmodded system can only read one HDD at a time.

Search for the phrase XBoxHDM on AD, and you'll find many many topics and tutorials on it; that's how you switch HDD in a soft box.

yea it would be easier with a modchip, but if you softmod all ur hdd's and lock them to the xbox you can swith thru them with just as much ezz

Even with EvoX? Cause it says on the readme, that with the new version, it is compatible with HDD's over 137GB. Is that only with a modchip?
