max drive on xbox

    hi i have a max drive.i joined a usb cable to the end of the conecter that goes in the end of the xbox.go memory and it finds it lest me go into the max drive.put a file on it it says not working correctly has been erased any help plz.i have this file SID[1].4.0.NKnave.Edition.Xbox-Hq.is this right to soft mod a xbox thanks
