Has anyone had any problems playing or trying to play Max Payne 2 on a premodded xbox? Just wondering because I copied original game onto hdd and when I went to load "detective" it starting loading at the bottom but then froze about 3/4 of the way and did nothing. I deleted the game from the hdd and put the original game in to play and the same thing happened. Just trying to find out if it's possible a damanged disk or if there is something on the original disk that will not let you play or copy to premodded xbox.

I backed this game up last night with no problems at all. Runs fine from the DVD+r as well as the hard drive.

Before you say that this post dosent apply to you (how to fix 90% of your games from freezing or locking up) you should try some of these things. Yes it can freeze with the original and even more so that your cache files need to be cleared. When a game is on your hard drive it creates cache files on your drive that help the game load faster. When you put the original in there, it might be having a conflict with the cache files already on your hard drive causing the games to freeze. It also works the same way with the game saves. Did you try any of these? Either way it will not hurt your xbox to try these steps as well as have your IGR's off and setting your date and time correctly.

WEll, I really don't know how to hook up the computer with the xbox, but I did try one thing. I set the time on my xbox in the msdashboard and now the game will load. Stranger things are happening more and more with xbox.

Yes it is weird sometimes isn't it, but you are not the first with that problem I can tell you that much.
