MAX PAYNE 3 requires update prompt ?

Is it safe to update or will i goose my LT+2. console which i'm currently having to patch XGD3 games to get to work..............last time i followed an on screen prompt to udate to play a new game my console had to be flashed to LT+2(.0 or .1 can't remember)

Thanks in advance for any advice otherwise i think i'll have to give MAX PAYNE 3 a miss for the time being

 

Have you tried getting the update because I have the same question and just want to know if you've tried it?

 

No refuse to update at the moment cause i'm not ready to update to LT+3.0 and have to patch all my working XGD3 games again in order to get them to work on new firmware really don't want to update untill there's no choice and hopefully firmware that is backwards compatable comes out

 

MAX PAYNE 3 will work on LT+2.0 as long as u patch the game to work and first update to dashboard 14719 however i must warn you that for some reason PROTOTYPE 2 no longer works but booted fine befor ethe new dashboard update?? Not sure what other (if any) patched XGD3 titles are affected?

 

Any idea what this procedure is for?....

"For all people using truncated back ups, and for those who didn’t get their dae.bin updated via LIVE silent update.

1. Rip an audio track to an mp3 format to your X360 or copy a chosen mp3 file to your external USB device.
2. Subsequently, before plying an XGD3 truncated back up play the mp3 music file and run the game.
3. After the game loads you will hear that the disc is not spinning, this bypasses the authorization error. In the game menu you can just stop the music by pressing the guide button on the X360′s game pad, and choosing STOP in the music player tab.

It was tested on Max Payne 3 patched with topology data file for Lt 2.0 available in the How to convert LT+ 3.0 ISO to LT+ 2.0 compatible ISO section, BenQ drive with Lt 2.0 and the dash 2.0.14719.0."

 

That is so you can install games on LT3. Otherwise. It will give a disc error. I used it myself a bit before ditching cfw for the x360key.

 

Sounds like MAX PAYNE is a real pain in the you know where.

 

So if i upgrade to LT+3.0 i'll be able to play my existing XGD3 backups without patching them using this mp3 method ?

I just got Madden 13, and I used MAX Payne to update my dash, now anything new i acquire isn't working. I assume i'll have to update to 3.0?
