yes maxell is a great brand however they have a few different manufacturers making their discs. for -r i know of 2 for sure and there are the ones they make tehmselves media code mxl RG02 which are the best ones. some are also made by ritek. I like them if i get the ones with the MXL RG02 media code because these are very very good but if i get the ritek ones which are still good i might as well of just went and got some ridatas and they would be cheaper too.... i havnt got the hundred packs but i have realized that the 10pack jewl case and 25pack spindles i have gotten have all been the good MXL RG02 media code but when future shop started getting 50 packs i got ones made by ritek which i returned... so i dont know if its just coincidence but i think u get the beter quality ones in the lower count packs
I was going to pick up a spindle but noticed it was manufactured in Taiwan. Compared the 100 spindle to the not-on-sale 50 spindle and the 50 spindle says made in Japan. Also noticed the 100 spindle comes from Maxell Canada while the 50 spindle is from Maxell USA. I got cold feet and decided not to take a chance on getting crappy discs. Any feedback from those who bought the 100 pack? Thanks.
actually future shop has an amazing return policy!!! when i opened my 50 pack and realized they were ritek i returend the opened pack and they asked no questions at all or anything... so you could always buy them and see what kind they are and if u dont want them anymore just return them.

I have a few people that picked up the 100 pack thats on sale and they are the same Media ID as my MAxell MXLRG02. So I would recommend to anyone looking for media to pick some up for this price.
