Ok. You are here because your box no longer receives the channels it did last week and is unable to update.
This is no different to anybody else who is receiving cable TV using an unauthorised box in the UK. Making a new post that informs us that you are in the situation that we already know about is not helping the forum, either with bandwidth or the finding of actual, useful information in the few threads that contain it.
you posting asking for help to return these channels will get you no more help than the guy who has posted before you, or the one below that etc. If your question, query or reason for being here has been mention in a previous post that is currently open, ( and it has, trust me ) then it would be polite and courteous to post any further information you might have, and that you think is not duplicating everything before as a reply to that thread and use that for further discussion.
This is just the polite way to use forums that other people pay for to enable you to read and post.

As for what is happening. VM have changed the way that they now send information to their boxes that allow the boxes to decrypt the signals. As a result of this the previous firmware on boxes that have been modified to steal cable services is unable to automatically update itself to manage this decryption. Therefore you have lost channels. This will not change until you physically reprogram the box with a firmware change. As of yet the only firmware available is for the ArNet Kryptview box so any other box owners need to be patient.

Do not attempt to re-scan your boxes, you are wasting your time. At the very best you will end up in exactly the situation you are in now and at worst back to factory default with no transponders or channels and needing more help. Do NOT replace your current firmware until a new one is available.

There is a short term manual fix for boxes that requires you to obtain the decryption hash codes yourself and input them into your box using the method needed for that box.

Afterdawn does not condone or facilitate the illegal obtaining of cable services and so insists that users do not post codes nor post links to sites offering codes. You have a responsibility to the owners of this site to not post material that they might be legally required to keep off the site. You signed terms and conditions in which you agreed you would not do this. Those terms are a legally binding contract and if you do anything to harm the operation of afterdawn you can be held responsible so my advice is to act responsible.

be patient. There will be a fix. It took about 4 days last time this happened. This is not to say it will be 4 days this time, just to say that you can expect a fix.

I hope this information has been of some use to you as some members appear confused.

edit:// keys have just rolled again

to confirm a fix has been released for the dreambox and dbox and this works 100% - the fix is to replace one of the Nagra 7 files.

as this is a Dreambox or DBox no need to reflash the box with the new software but a process of uploading a file to the box - takes 5 minutes to do.

excellent news. I'm sure this information will become widely available soon and if it is deemed suitable for posting I expect it will be in a sticky here.

I'm not bothered about credit or stickies. I'm just happy if a few people get to read this it might help curtail some of the frenzied posting on the site as that is helpful to nobody.

Just to be clear to people, I'm not affiliated with afterdawn in any way other than being a member and the comments above are purely my own opinion. I was the Administrator for 5 years on one of the largest and busiest game related forums for a major game distributor so it's just in my nature to try and help in these situations.

    Hi
My Starview stopped working last night.... lol sorry
Nice one m8, can't the mods just delete any added threads on the same subject, then this one will just remain at the top.

    Why ?...

People can't/won't read the stickies we already have.
No disrespect to this thread, but (trying to remember what i wrote in a thread hundreds of threads ago!)..ah, found it ->

But as to deleting closed threads, it just isn't going to happen, 'fraid we're up against it keeping the threads in line as it is.
