What is the purpose of the battery on the MB. Is it holding critical data for operation? What happens when it dies? Just curious
Your console has a clock, a clock that doesn't reset when you unplug the console. You work out the rest for yourelf......
That battery must be an awful low powered one, cause when i put my chip in, the PS2 was only plugged for 2 hours and i had to reset my clock.
