Hello, I'm looking to buy a complete protection software bundle, mostly to protect myself against viruses, hacking, phishing, adware, spyware and the likes. My situation is as follows: 1 desktop PC, with a ADSL modem connect to the wireless router, which in turn is wired connected to the desktop 2 notebook PC's that share the files in and internet connection of the desktop PC through wifi. I'm considering one of these: Norton 360 Norton Internet Security McAfee total protection Which one should I buy? Any advice?
I tried Mcafee a month or so ago and did not like it therefore my suggestion would be Norton 360. But that's just me.
I use McAfee Internet Security Suite with SiteAdvisor 2008. Free with my Comcast High Speed Internet. So far, has kept me protected. Want I don't like, is how long it takes to scan my system. Norton scans much faster. Both Norton and McAfee are bloated programs, heavy on system resources. Slow your system down. However, if I had to make a choice between the two, I'd select Norton Internet Security. For myself, I'd choose BitDefender, as the best integrated security program. http://www.bitdefender-software.com/bitdefender_internet_security_2008.html Close seconds are: AVG Internet Security, ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 6, or Avira Premium Security Suite.
