Hello Guys....what is going down in china town...? I have downloaded Azureus (bittorrent client) and have very slow speeds (5-10KB/s....never aboth 20KB/s) even with my 1mb NTL UK connection. The file is a big one but has always got 20+ speeds. I have set the listening port to 50050 and have allowed the port to work throught firewalls(and ports 6881 - 6889) and my belkin F5D7231UK4 router with TCP and UDP(even thou I am told UDP is not needed...but I did it anyways) My max download is limited to 110KB/s and upload is limited to 50KB/s. I download at about 7KB/s but upload at 10KB/s ...(averages) I run Windows XP and Zonealarm is my firewall(as I am told XP SP 2 firewall is rubbish) What can I do.....thanks in advance!
A little more info...Shields UP! (http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2) to test my ports. Port 50050 results were; Solicited TCP Packets: RECEIVED (FAILED) Unsolicited Packets: PASSED Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) I read Arureus needed port 6881 so i forwarded that seperately and got the results; Solicited TCP Packets: RECEIVED (FAILED) Unsolicited Packets: PASSED Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) Hope this helps a bit more.
I hate azurues! I used to love it, but no matter what I do now I cant get the speeds I used to. I switched bt clients to bitcomet. 300kbs plus! (much easier). Most ppl will tell u to get azureus to work, it just doesnt like me and the feeling is mutual.
Thanks for reply but BitComet only gives me 5KB/s Download Rate! I Upload 10KB/s and have 8 seeds....the health is also 3000%... Maybe its ME vs Bit Clients ?!?!?!
