Ok so I'm not even sure how to describe what I'm looking for here but I'll give it a shot

So I've got a good amount of my DVD's ripped onto my laptop, and I want to be able to browse through each of them by cover art. I've scanned in the covers of all the ones I've ripped but all I need now is some kind of software that will allow me to link the cover art to the divx files and play them.

I often connect my laptop to my HD tv and to be able to just scan through cover art instead of examining tiny thumbnails would be a great help

If anyone has any idea I'd be really grateful

    Thanks

There are many software packages out there that will do this for you and all you have to do is enter in the bar code of the DVD. It will then query a database like IMDB and give you all the information about the movie and cover art.

    An example is this http://www.collectorz.com/movie/
But I personally have never used any of these so I can't recommend any particular one. I know there are others out that as I looked into them at one time.

    Thats great thanks.

    Downloaded XBMC

One more question, all of my video files are either AVI, DivX or Xvid and I'm lost as to how to add cover art to each file for browsing

Can't help with that i only just got my 2 xboxes back last week so it's all pretty new to me,the guy that did it all installed the cover art, perhaps the help file in the software explains it or at the xbmc website,or look thru the xbox forum here at AD,as i can't see there being too much diff

EDIT: Hang on just found this or if link goes nowhere type xbmc in web search,it should show "online manual yeehaa" this outta speed things along for me as well
