I've got a problem with getting WMV's to render on Media Player Classic. files fail to render. I've had this issue before under the same circumstances. That is, When I reinstall windows I've got to work to make them render, but I still don't know HOW i get them to render. I play with the settings until they work. I've got all the codecs installed. I've check that they render under Windows Media Player, and they do. They just fail to render under Classic. This one is stumping me, and has since the beginning. Thanks...
Sounds like you need to change your video output to system default. You should see this as an option under output. Then look for DirectShow video. If that doesn't work try overlay mixer.
