hello, does ne1 know hiw i can burn a windows media player file to a cd/dvd to get playback on my standalone dvd player. just burnt it but dvd, player wont read it. cheers
Do you mean a "Windows Media File" or a "WMV" File???The only way you could Play WMV Files on a DVD Player is if your DVD Player supported the HighMat format which Not many do..So if you wanted to make a DVD out of the WMV file you would need to encode the File to the Correct Format and Resolution for DVD which is Mpeg2 at 720+480/576-Pal or 352+480/576-Pal or 352+240/288-Pal at 29.976fps NTSC or 25fps Pal...Not many Mpeg encoders Properly support encodeing WMV Files to Mpeg but you can Try it with "Tmpgenc" or even better the "Mainconcept Encoder" which I know will accept WMV files...After you have created your Mpeg2 file with the Proper Resolution and Frame rate you will need to get a DVD authoring Program to add the Menu"s and Chapters and to create the DVD..Something simple would be "Tmpgenc DVD Author" you can download a 30 day demo of it on the net...well good luck
