Hey guys..im just wondering if anyone has successfully put media center on a computer that is running windows xp home edition with service pack 2 I am just wondering if it is even possible..because i cant seem to find anything.. If it is could someone please tell me how to do it??
How you do it, depends on how you want to do it. Do you want a dual boot, or a clean installation of Media Center?
no..i mean just having the program on windows xp home edition..i already have 2 operating systems but i dont have media center...i dont want the whole media center operating system..i just want to have the media center program on my version of windows XP home edition...
Again, what "program"? Media Center has a different user interface (menu screen), but it's based entirely on XP Pro. It has better support for Plug n Play devices, driver support, and support for streaming video/music, recording....etc. I still don't know exactly what you want from MC to put on Home.
the program...the thing that you use to stream music and videos and shit onto your 360 and around your house...i dont want the whole operating system i just want the program to let me do that...the program that you open when you hit start and then go to media center...
