i use clonedvd2 to burn my dvds and the first 50 pack i bought was Sony. Probably 30 of those worked. The other ones would stop and say there was a problem, probably caused by bad media. today i bought an imation 100 pk and the very first one messed up. i'm starting to think it's not the media. anyone have any suggestions?

CloneDVD 2 could give a flip what media you use. It's the media and burner combination. Crappy media gives crappy results.

I use CloneDvd 2/Any Dvd combo as one of many progs. I have never had CloneDvd 2 fail, as long as I have used the right media. Cheap media is not just a problem in burning, but also when it comes to the standalones. I would suggest changing media and conmfirm that you have the lastest updates from CloneDvd 2, seems as if they undate frequently and the prog should let you know, as long as you have it set up like that. I burn TY's and Verbs (SL and DL) I have used the DL part of the CLoneDVD 2 and it work perfectly. Try a media change and see...oh and burn slow. CloneDVD 2 allows you to adjust speed (4x or slower!...in my opinion and seems that of many others at AD) I keep ANYDVD in the background and it activates once senses a DVD. Great prog. (updated regularly as well!).

I agree on checking out your firmware, it may need an update. Otherwise, CloneDVD is not very picky on media, unless it is really bad. Check and make sure you have the latest ver. of the program installed, and if it is giving you problems the uninstall and reinstall it, there may be some conflict going on. You can also try another burning program to see if that works and it is CloneDVD that is messing up. Make sure you DMA is on for your burner and that it is being recognized properly in the device mgr.
