Looks like a bad week for media unless you love memosux media.

Office depot has buy1/get 1 free of maxell RW media: 15 pack for$24.99

    Memosux are everywhere for $7/$8 a 25 pack and $15 a 50 pk and $70 for 100 packs at Office depot/Office Max/Circuit city.

Staple's still has last weeks sale of crap going on again this week.

Looks like bestbuy is the only store I may visit this week?

I don't mess around with the dash format anymore.Booktyping does kick some major a** on stand alone compatability.

Majority of the good plus format media on the web is usually higher than the local on sale local stores.

I picked up 350 verbs at Office max last week so that should last me a couple weeks, LOL

Thunder66 and aabbccdd....Those TYs you speak of at SMS will most likely be TYGO3 16x, not the TYGO2 at 4x, the part # has the VAL in it as described here...http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/297550

dilligaf9 , the value pack have been coding out as TYGO2s which is the 8X ,thats what i have been getting for the last several months the TYGO1s 4X are pretty much gone and the TYGO3s would be the 16X media to add i have had pretty good luck with them

aabbccdd...I just got 200 this past week and they are the 16x TYGO3, just a mixed bag or luck of the draw. but it may be as the TYGO2 get sold they are being replaced by the TYGO3 in the Value disk Wrap. The TYGO3 must be the newer stock or shipments coming in to the stores..Still good dics indeed, but thunder6 may specificaly want the 4x and that may not happen in the Value Disk wrap....

aabbccdd ..You said you had pretty good luck with the TYGO3. I take that as you have had problems or issues with the 16xTYs. Not to put you on the spot but you dont seem happy with them... Why?

lol $70 for a 100 pack of Memosux?! I wouldn't pay that much for good media, let alone Memosux. That's a joke!

Went to the local Sam's Club yesterday. They have the Sony DVD+R in a 75 pack for like $27. It comes in a 50 count spindle, and a 25 count spindle shrinked together. The weird part is a label attached that says the 50 pack is MIJ and the 25 pack is MIT.

Hello everyone, I just went to get the Verbatim DVD+R DL at Bestbuy and they are made in Singapore. Is that OK? The Media Code/Mfg ID show: MKM 001.

    Thanks,
