I tried to browse real fast throught the thread but did not see any deals on Verbs DL, anybody has any info is there any sale on verbs DL, i only saw memorex DL @ radio shack, are they any good usually memorex are crap all formats .
Eventhough I don't buy memorex dvd's anymore I had no idea they sale 50 pack's of DVD+R DL, I didn't see the price but I'm sure it was high. Hopefully when Blue-ray/HD-DVD burners come out they drop the prices of DVD+R DL media even more.

I just bought those, and recieved them today. I havent had a chance to burn one yet, but after burning sony MIJ, which codes out to be taiyo yudens, I am positive these discs are excellent.
They didn't have any Verbatim DVD+R when I was out yesterday. I just called office depot and they didn't have non either.
At the Staples in Folsom, CA, I searched through their Sony's and found one DVD+R spindle and one DVD-R spindle that was MIJ, all others were MIT's so I bought those and they honored the 110% PM so it was less than the BB price which happened to be next door. When I went over to the BB, I saw that all spindles there were MIJ's. The Sam's Club next to that had Verbatims which were all MIT's.
Stores are definatly starting to run out, at least of the good DVD's. Went out to best buy last night, and they only had 3 packs of (MIT) Sony's. Office Max ran out of Verbatims.
There are some week sales this coming week. The only good thing on sale so far is 25 packs of Verbatim's for $8. I'll start a new thread for next weeks sales, but most of them are garbage.
where those verbs at? although.. i'm looking for some TY's.. i may get them from rima.com @allegro [bold]The Sam's Club next to that had Verbatims which were all MIT's.[/bold] verbatims are all made in taiwan. the only exception to the rule are the dual layer ones wich are made in singapore. the MIJ rule only goes for sony and fuji
i thought i got MIT dvds in my sony spindle that was labeled MIJ...but they are MIJ then just not TY's right? and they should be better than MIT dvds from sony?
(MIJ) is made in japan and made in japan Sony's are made by Taiyo Yudens, the best. MIJ Sony's are better than the (MIT)-made in tawain DVD's, but the (MIT) Sony's are still pretty good DVD's.
i know MIJ is made in japan...but not all MIJ are made by TY...i have a spindle that is MIJ and its not TY's
Mord, I bought a pack of Sony's from Sam's CLub that was labeled MIT and they came out as TY's. So you never know what you are going to get sometimes.
would you copy and paste the info out of dvd decrypter or dvd info pro? i'm sure doc would be in here to verify everything. but.. the sony TY's come from ONLY japan (MIJ). the made in taiwan (MIT) are the Sony Brand. (unless they moved their plant.) but like i said.. check the mid.. on those.. then just post those. once those are up.. we can confirm all this mess.
