i was at the suprmarket tonight and i see in their media section they had maxell spindles of 50 the + were all MIJ could not believe my eyes, they must be sitting there for years or something. i wonder if supermarkets price match with other stores, now that would be funny, if they do i will get all those mIJ maxells in a second, but they are at regular price 29.99. the supermarket is fry's market place. anybody try pulling that stunt, matchig prices with a supermarket and a normal electronic/office store?
@Jasper I do not have a Staples, BB or Office Depot in my town. I called WalMart a month ago to see if they would price match and they said only with stores in town. I don't know if that is a local rule or corporate. Bucky
I ended up with the 50pk of +R Maxells MIJ Code out to Maxell-002 for $11.94 after $3 off with ink catridge return... I thought Staples carried Verbatims but I guess not
Those are the sweet hitachi maxells! Staples use to carry the 25 packs of verbatim 16x,but that was a while back-when they first came out. Office depot has the best selection: Verbatim/maxell/Office depot brand/along with the crappy philips and maybe memosux?
@saugmon.. last time i checked i dont think i saw the phillips. but i think that's the one that circuit city has almost everything of. they have others.. those phillips are all over there..
How do you get $3 off? If you bring in any empty ink jet cartridge at office max?? Why do they give you $3 off? I probably should have made a new topic but i saw it in this one so someone has to know.
is it just staples that does the $3 thing? - sorry i must have missed that post where he said staples did it as a promo
If you bring an empty ink cartridge to Staples they give you a coupon for $3 off your next purchase of $3 or more
BJ's has Fuji on sale, 9.99 for 50 pak. at register, reg. 19.99, no mail-in required. I picked up MIJ (TY) in West Hartford, CT store. I saw them at a store in MA also, but they only had MIT. I guess it is hit or miss for MIJ, but a great deal if you can find them.
The Fuji's I have seen in the 50 pak show the top disk and it will say right on the disk "Made in Japan" or Made In Taiwan" .
i just bought some maxell dvd+r and a -r one at staples and i noticed they were made in tawain...theyre still good right?
Once again thanks just got back from Best Buy and picked up very last 3 of these. They had 2 of the 16X -R but I choose not to get them bc Im in luv with booktyping. These and the 25 I have right now should hold me off for a mintute
@clu05 The -R MIT's are probably MXL RG03... They get decent ratings... http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?selectmedia=2424#comments the +R's are probably RITEK...R03 They get decent ratings also.. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?selectmedia=3085#comments But not as good as the ones MIJ
sorry to correct you, but is NOT true...that is the media ID coding for the MADE IN JAPAN ones...made by Hitachi, sold under the Maxell brand from the 8x dvd-r MIJ spindles~ the +R MIT are RitekR03s, and the -R MIT's are the RitekG05s docTY~
i know the riteks are all good..but which one is better..the one with the 5? and at staples do they have the MIJ ones?
Verbs on sale at Bestbuy? $7.99 per 25 pack of 16x discs? I didn't know that when I picked up my two 20 packs of Verb +R DL discs today. I'll run back tomorrow & clean out 2 stores that I know of & maybe a third. Oh man, $31.96 (before tax) per 100 discs? Thats almost as good (price wise) as the Sony 8x 100 packs I got last month from Best Buy... I normally get the -R but at this price I may grab the +R's too! These stores have it available in the Katy, Galleria, Greenspiont & Sharpstown (Houston) areas. Pasadena, Pearland & Baytown do too as well as the Almeda mall store in Houston. Lets see, about 200 discs (eight 25 packs) will do for me. Anybody else in the Houston TX area grab what you can! Go to the website, find the + or - R discs then search for available stores by zip code. Either that or get it online.
