teach and learn as ddp would say, i will be waiting right beside you and let someone ELSE "take the plunge" first~ my personal motto has been "never pay a single dime for questionable media you've never tried before in the past, let someone else get burned first" docTY p.s. good seeing you again jim_dandy buddy~ been awhile~
kivory666- Thanx Doc ! Yuden said a mouthfull LOL! You done I'mean lol! good Idea let someone else test the waters first. Or at the very least don't buy out the store if you have'nt used the media or know of it's quality ! Like what you said ! keep up the good work Here & at the hospital we need your help both places but I suppose that the hospital does need you more ! but stop by when you have the time . you keep the post rolling right along . Good luck & happy Burning !
Did a test on those 16X Fuji +R that I got to do the gkids stuff on. Here is two PlexTests, first is PI/PO and disk was burned at 8X Not the best, but fair. Second is TA Test for inner, middle and outer zone of the disk. It came up as good, again not the best but okay for my purposes.
Out of the ads I got early this week, there aren't any on sale. Maybe Staples or Office Max will have some.
Office max usually have buy1/get 1 free every other week. Nothing this week, but maybe sunday? 200 black slim cases for $24.99 is what I pay for them. Keep an eye for staples big fuji sale every once in a while. I got some there that were $8.94 for 100 pk of multi-colored slim cases.
I found this while I was checking prices so I'm posting this kind of late but I thought it might help those looking for a great price on quality media. This is listed as a Weekend Sale. Judging by other weekend specials from newegg it'll probably end sometime early AM EST on 3-13. newegg.com Verbatim 4.7GB 8X DVD+R 100 Pack High-Speed Quality Disc - Retail Price $47.99, FREE SHIPPING!!!!!!! and has a $25.00 Mail In Rebate. Making the final cost $22.99. At less than .23 per disc after tax and shpping...that's by far the best deal I've ever seen on Verbatim media. I'm not sure how to post links here but the item # is N82E16817130957. Shouldn't be hard to find just do a search at newegg. Note.....I was going to pick up seveal spools at this price but I checked the terms of the rebate and it's limited to one per household. Still a great deal though.
anybody know how new that pioneer r100b is, can't be to old of a model it burns +- dl at 8x. and how well it works. does it do book setting.
@hwrench You might want to post that in the PC Hardware section for better advice. This is the media sales thread.
jake is correct on the forum thing.. but this is what i found. i know this is the r100.. but i didnt see the r100b. yes it does state that it will burn dual layer media at 8x but we dont want to burn that high yet. stick to 2.4x. and only verbatim discs on those. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/service/support/article/0,,2076_4249_277047590,00.html it might be that the r100b is just the second revision on of that drive. you may want to check with pionner. according to the site, it does write to dvd-rom. i'm guessing that means that it booktypes. i could be wrong. hope that gives you a start.
hi, I FOUND ERROR ON BESTBUY's OFFER. BESTBUY's SALE THIS WEEK is: FUJIFILM 100 Pack DVD-+R $39.99 (The 50 Pack is Still $40.00) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...t00000+cat01000+cat01161&id=pcmcat65200050024 peace, j
That Best Buy link has the 100 pack of FujiFilm discs for $29.99 NOT $39.99 ... Note: Looking at the cakebox pictured ... those discs are Taiyo Yudens ... the base is different than the MIT discs The Best Buy ad that I received here in Central Indiana has the 50 packs listed for $14.99
hello guys, so the verbatim 8x the one with rebate at the newegg gurantee to have the mcc-003 code right?? i bought some of those just to see how they compare to the tyg02 i have being using. so the fuji $29.99 are most of them MIT anyways?? thanks Yujen Huang
Regarding the 100 pack of Fujis at Best Buy. They show as $69.99 for a 100 spindle. Yep, they look like Made in Japan too. Taiyo Yuden looking cake box. [bold]However i bet you'll have a near impossible time finding any Made in Japan Fujis in Best Buy at this time.[/bold] I wish! Your Best bet is finding Sony DVD+R 8x 50 pack Made in Japan. It seems those are easier to find these days. And, every one I have got has coded as YUDEN000 T02. Happy Shopping & Good Luck!
How do the Fuji +R 16x code out that are made in Japan? Are they TY? I have previously bought Fuji +R 8X MIJ and I know they code out as Yuden T02. I ask that because I live about 100 miles from nearest computer store (Best Buy, Circuit City etc) and I plan going that way this week and I would hate to buy something drive all the way back and find out it is not TY.
@LABOY, I have not seen any Fuji 16x DVD+/-R that are Made in Japan. All of them have been Made in Taiwan. [bold] Attention to TY Lovers: Circuit City still has 50 pack spindles of Sony DVD+R 8x & DVD-R 8x for $14.99. Every single one I saw are Made in Japan. I buy the DVD+R s and they code as Taiyo Yudens. This Price is same a s last weekStock Up while you can get these sweeties.[/bold] They moved the location on their site for these to the TV& Video section. I bought a couple, I know this is for real. They'll scan at $14.99 at register. You can confirm by going to their site, & click on the "see Sale price in cart" option. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony...21288/catOid/-12895/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
