My local Best Buy had some 50 packs of Sony DVD-R 16x AccuCORE that said Made in Japan for $14.99. All +r's were made in Taiwan. The label says #50DMR47LS4. Anyone know what these are?
Yo Bigtoxy69! I picked up 500 of them during their last sale last month. Out of 100+ burns on the Ritek-P16,2 burn coasters. One was when my pc rebooted,which it started doing every now and then. Other was from a smudge on the blank disc. Damn dirty fingers, UGGH! Must have been fish slime, LOL Had to check in and see what the local sales are. Jasper44: You are Da Man! Only 1 prime week of saugeye fishing left,and I got my share of them, LOL

Those OD ricohjpn-r03's are pretty good bigtoxy69. I rate them up there with the Ritek-P16. No! I got to eat them right out of the skillet,while they are still hot. Nothing on them whatso ever! Saugeye,just like walleye and perch-are most delicious straight out of the fying pan.Battered in fry crisp. YUMMY! Once they cool down,just not the same. On leftovers, I'll put a half a fillet on a bun,along with mayo/catchup/or tartar sauce. I cooked 5 fillets up from this mornings motherload. The gf only ate 1,and her 3 kids didn't touch them. More leftovers for me! Probably have saugeye sandwiches for breakfast! Breakfast is 4:15 am! Anybody else want to join me, LOL

Memnock- Appreciate the info buddy ! But it appears that both my closest OFFICEDEPOT'S 20 & 30 Miles from the house have pretty much gone to the 16x camp Either Ritek P-16's or RicohJpn's . I've got enough of Maxell/Riteks /Officedepot riteks & assorted Taiyo's Sony's Verbatims & Maxell Mij's to hold me for awhile But I'll still pick some more up hear and there along the way! Went to best Buy, looked at the Sony's. I actually saw a few 16x DVD+R that the labels said, "Made in Japan". White, round spacer on top. That's all I saw were 16x Sonys. Most were MIT. OK, here's why I went. My Best Buy is a block away from Circuit City, where I know they still have Sony DVD+R 8x Made In Japan. Genuine TYs! I took the Best Buy AD to CC and they price match 110%. Walked away with the last 2 50 packs of Sony DVD+R 8x MIJs for...$12.49 per 50 pack! (OK, $13.61 with tax) Were those Sony 16x DVD+R Sonys really Made in Japan? Don't know. They definitely said they were. I was really there to look and get the AD for the price match! Edited for a darn typo.
@ bunnyrip, I did that same exact thing last week when Office Depot had them on sale for 14.99 and CC pricematched then to 12.49, although mine was only 13.30 with tax as we must be in different states. Also, those 16x +R are made in Japan, but might be Sony House brand Made in japan. If the spacer was white it should yeild TYS though. Are you sure they were white circular spacers? As people say that the MIJ Sony 16x +Rs come with white octagonal spacers and the Sony House MIJ 16x have a grey circular spacer. This is the first ive heard about a white circular spacer. If you could, go see if those disks are TYs as me and DocTY cant seem to find some that are +R MIJ Sony for proof of Existence, as we have heard only heresay about those. The worst that could happen is they are sony house brand and you then promptly take them bak for a refund, BB is good with that as long as you keep your receipt. Also on another note it seems as though that Circuit City has 8x media in abundance, because all their media is 8x, not a 16x in sight. I think itis because they are a little more expensive than Best Bu and we are only now finding out that they have 8x MIJ and are Pricematching. Also, did your Circuit City have any 16x or MIT? Mine had none at all, only MIJ + and -rs. Edit for Typos as well. Need to slow down in my typing.

the maxell dvd-r 16x are code out as Prodisc i have gotten some & haven't had any problems with them whatsoever.
BIGTOXY69, Yeah I'm lucky in that I have an Office Depot 5 minutes from me and another one less than 15 minutes away. The one closest to me didn't have any 8x or 16x +Rs, but the futher store had both. I bought the last four 8x packs they had.
