    @Doc TY

    My raincheck if for two, the mgr asked me how many I wanted and then just filled in the amt. So I guess it is just the person who fills out the raincheck.

    Went to Office Depot last night, picked up the Office Depot brand, so highly recommended by Saugmon. They were on sale, buy 1 get one free.
    50 count cake box for 24.99, so I got 100 for $26.49 (with tax). Media code is

    Ritek R03-02 :)

    Thanks Saugmon! These code the same as the MIT Maxells which burn great. And Office depot is right next door to my favorite Chinese restuarant so....patting my belly and smiling

    Will do Aabbccdd, so far have never had a problem with shop4tech in the past with Ritek products, but am a little concerned with the thought of fake TY's out there...

    @blivetNC

    I got an order 2 weeks ago for 100 ty's from Shop4Tech and they were genuine TY's. I just placed another order on Friday. Will post results once they get here.

    again.. agree with arniebear.. it depends on the person doing the raincheck... i was asked how many i needed.. i'm not sure if there was like a limit... but i only did just get one pack.

    Wonder how long it is going to take for some more to come in, with all those rainchecks floating out there they better get a lot in stock, lol.

    @arniebear/thelox714

    yea, i think it REALLY depends on the manager at whichever particular location does the "raincheck" for you...i wasn't even given a chance to choose my quantity, he looked it up online and for MY zip code, it said "limit 1", so he just put down ONE at that price~ :) it's better than nothing, so i am happy~ :)

    good day to you all~

    docTY~

    @ dipset121 .. someone's BSin' you. I've been buying the Office Depot DVD+R discs for several years now to back up DVDs for the grandkids. Always been Ritek made and always been top quality.

    Others have been using them (including saugmon) and everyone that I've seen post here at AD loves 'em.

    Besides, they have that gorgeous Ritek purple color

    If any of you are lucky enough to live near a BJ's Wholesale club, they have a coupon in their November Journal for 50 Fuji DVD's, + or- for $9.99, limit one, the sale runs from Nov 12-Nov 18. No listing of either speed or if they are MIJ. Will update as soon as I buy a pack.

    heres some sites to try

    supermediastore.com
    meritline.com
    rima.com
    newegg.com

    seems like the Verbatim is the way to go on the DL and the going prices (on sale)is like 2 bucks a disc which is pretty good

    yeah thats a pretty good deal

    in order of quality
    Verbatim,Ritek (ridata) same media ,Memorex would be my last choice BUT i think all the DL memorx code out as Ritek which would be ok ,i would def. stick with the Verbatim

    dvd+r and dvd-r are just different formats theres no quality difference between the two just depends on what your standalone dvd player likes your best bet is to get the dvd+r and booktype them to dvd-rom that makes them the most compatable with all dvd players.

    and i would burn them at a slow speed like 2x to make sure your playback is fine
