Media Server for both PS3 and PSP

Hi guys, i was just wondering if there's a media server available that is compatible with both the PS3 and PSP, i had a look and came across the 'XCOM Media server' which was called PSP media server but the compatibility with file types is poor to say the least.

I Know the file types that aren't compatible with the PSP, but is there a media server like the PS3 media server that you can also access through the internet browser on the PSP or any other method?

I know you can remote play but when i turn my PS3 off i don't leave it on standby as for some reason the fans are still on or at least it sounds like there are (60GB Refurb).

Any ideas?
