Hello everyone am a newbie to this I have the afore mentioned Medion (Pioneer 106d DVD Writer)it says so in the bios. when I try to udgrade the bios on the original pioneer and the 12x rip speed oem one it says target drive not found any ideas ??? it works ok on current firmware should I even try to upgrade current average rip speed is 40 mins system is AMDXP2000,512ram,ti4600,xp pro. Thanks.
@cretin I had the same problem this should help http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/PIONEER/DVR-106D/OEM_Pioneer_DVR-106_UNIVERSAL_Flash_1.0.zip it first changes kernel from Medion to Pioneer after that it updates the firmware with the same file you tried it didn't worked when you tried it because the kernel is from medion and not pioneer
