Medium Not Present

    I don't know what has changed.

    I used dvddcrypter last week, no problem.

    I put a dvd in today and i get this in the statusbar:

    Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present)

    So I went to Explorer to look at it. It is recognized only
    as a CD drive.

    I downloaded DVD Identifier and ran it and got this:

    ERROR : Unable to Intililize Disc : Not ready - Medium not present [02/3A/00]

    Problem is with all DVDs

    Try going to the device manager, find your dvd rom/burner there, and right click on it. Then click on uninstall. After it has uninstalled, reboot, and let Windows detect new hardware, and reinstall it for you. This will fix a lot of similar problems, but can't promise it will fix your's. Shouldn't hurt anything though, to try it.
