    Why did you choose to store the videos online? Are the videos your creations or are the copies of a copyrighted work?

    This is in their terms of service: "You must not infringe anyone’s intellectual property (including copyright) or other rights in any data;"

    If that's not the issue then this is also in their terms of service:

    "
    1. MEGA may at its discretion impose limits or restrictions on:
      1. The number of devices accessing MEGA VPN per account at any time;
      2. Bandwidth usage in respect of any account.
    2. We may impose usage limits, block access to, suspend or discontinue MEGA VPN, or block certain kinds of usage at any time where we consider it necessary for our business purposes and without further notice to you."

    Delayed reply.No they are my own videos, they are not copyrighted.
    Still lets me upload files (im not an excessive bandwith user).Due to these playback issues ive been inactive for several months on Mega and in fact they even sent a generic email recently that "they've missed me"

    You might want to find another means of storing your videos. I store my family videos on M-Disc, and my entertainment videos on a 4 TB portable USB hard disc with a duplicate on a 2nd 4 TB USB hard disc. Admittedly I've never tried MEGA, so I won't comment about its quality of service, but remember when it comes to PC data storage, redundancy is important.

    ?

    I'm curious, how many videos do you have uploaded, and what is the approximate total size of your upload? For my number of files that come to more than 2 TB it would be impractical to load them online.

    As much as i hate to admit it this will be one of the few times i agree with my nemesis Sophocles & that storing data should be locally & only use cloud as a secondary backup.
    Storing locally however requires multiple hdd's either in RAID or single hdd's with the same data spread over 3 or more drives. Mind you as Sophocles stated when you have x amount its better to store locally just to save time.
    Mega will send you emails to remind you to login or your storage will be closed as it's the free version you use. This will happen on average every six months or so. Shame you didn't get in early as back then there was 50gb free.
    You need to create a backup of your mega key as you'll be able to unlock the acc if it ever needs to be recovered after they shut it down or you'll loose everything on there
