Well this is a new one on me. I have backed up over 2500+ discs successfully, Sony CSS included, but this one has me beat. I am trying to back up Memoirs of a Geisha. I can crack CSS with Any DVD, no problem, but it only gets the last half of the movie as dummy sectors are inserted by DVD Shrink as well as DVD Decrypter over the first part of the film. I have tried creating the PSL file with PGC edit and VOB blanker, but again, it DUMMY sectors over the first half of the film this way. The problem is with VOB 1 of the film, and I can't seem to get around it, even tried re-authoring the DVD, all produce the same result, whatever proggie I use, it wants to insert DUMMY sectors ove the first half or so of the film. Anybody got any solutions...I am not a newB...I can do this. I have just about every piece of DVD authoring software out there, so I am pretty sure I can get this thing done, I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Dang those Sony Freaks! Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

I get the movies a week before they are released as well. We must work at the same place LOL. I will try your solution...I didn't try DVD Fab...but I sure will, I have it and never even thought about using it. Thanks!

I've had that disc since last Tuesday and could not get that thing backed up right. Your solution worked like a charm!!! I had DVD Fab all along and never even thought to use it with VOB Blanker without the goofy wizard. I get the BIG DUH. Thanks for the help, it worked right off the bat and the burn is flawless! Took me about 15 min form start to end of burn. This forum never ceases to amaze me. Every time I have ever needed an answer, there is ALWAYS someone in here that has it. Thanks again!
