hi , i bought a pack of 5 cd-r memorex at wally world for 2.50 and burned one and did a quality test thru nero and it code out as riteck . the quality score was a 96 , are these good cd-r's . i always thought cmc mag made memorex cd-r . are they changing manufacture due to the bad rep . are these riteck any good . thanks
Memorex have always used numerous manufacturers for their disks, both DVD and CD, therin lies the problem, you just don't know what you're getting. I have some older 4X Memorex which code out as Ritek disks, some as CMC-Mag, some RICOHJPN, and something called Longtech or something like that. RItek are good disks, you lucked out. Rumour has it that the most recent DVD disks are indeed RICOHJPN disks again, which are not that shabby.
