Memorex any good?

    I believe the point is this:

    When you say Memorex as a media you are actually talking about several different media manufacturers other then Memorex. Since you can never know which one you will get, more bad then good, why take that chance?

    One can always get lucky with their media purchase and then again odds are more then likely the other way around. If you play BlackJack would you take a hit when you have two tens showing? Odds are that if you play with one deck, you have 4 chances out of that deck to make 21, but would you?

    There is more to the burn then just the burn results today. Media over time will cause problems if the die used or manufacturing process isn't top notch. So even if you have a good burn today, it might not be that way down the road.

    So I believe that most would say, since the monies are near the same for quality consistent media or a lower brand that one never knows what it will be until purchased, why bother with the lower brand?

    On a final note, even ones burner also has a sweet spot for one type of media over another. As I posted in a different thread before, newer burners were shown with their BEST burn and the media used to get that burn and the speed used as well. Keep this in mind also if you really want the Maximum out of your burner. Here is that link below:
