Why is it that some cd-r's get staticky when it gets hot. Like when I drive for hours at a time, my cd deck gets hot and so as the cd I'm trying to listen to. When that happens, only brand that keeps working without losing any sound quality for me is memorex cd-r. I've had verbatim, sony, phillips, you name it. They all lose sound when my cd deck gets hot. I just wanna know if anyone else had this problem or how do you find out which cd-r will work under these conditions for future reference.

    haku5,
This is bizarre. Car stereos can be very finicky about CD-R playback. Do you use the same settings everytime when burning?

I usually burn with the default settings with the maximum speed. But I don't think settings has anything to do with my problem. I guess memorex cd-r can handle high heat like the real cd albums bought from a store. No problem since memorex cd-r are on sale this week.
