i was give 50 memorex dvd- disks and i have to differant programs to burn dvd it will not accept either one i keep getting a error msg imcopatable format, but the same video will record with other dvd's
Give them back to whoever gave them to you, they are not the greatest media in the world. As you stated the file burns to other media fine, so stick with whatever you are using. Hopefully it is a good brand like Verbatim, Sony, Maxell or Fuji. Also check and make sure the firmware on your burner is up to date, maybe that these are 16x media and your burner just does not recognize them. You can use Nero InfoTool to check or DVD Decrypter, just open program use Tools tab then drive and capabilities. You can check here for updates. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php
If you are getting incompatible format errors, then probably your burner doesn't except those discs. Either you have -R discs but the writer wants +R, or you've got +R and your writer only likes -R.
Could be that the drive doesn't like em. I have received CMC discs as gifts and had no trouble burning them myself. YMMV though I guess.
